Gustavo Silveira was born in Pelotas, in 1987. In 2014 got a bachelor degree in Music Composition, in the "Universidade Federal de Pelotas" (Brazil), with part of his studies made in the USA, in the universities: "Wisconsin Lutheran College" and "California State University – Long Beach". Silveira has worked on several projects as a composer and instrumentalist, such as: Grupo Tholl (2008-2013), a composer, musical director and instrumentalist, where he composed the score and performed in the show "O Circo de Bonecos"; Percutralha (2013-present), a group dedicated to unconventional percussion and performance; Kisa (2012-2013), experimental electronic music group, which was nominated in three categories at the “1º Prêmio Brasil Sul de Música”: relevaltion CD, Best Instrumental CD, and the best performer; Bit Comma (2014-present), experimental electronic music project; A Lua de Ismália, experimental MPB project; in the USA did performances in several events and participated as creator and performer in the hyper-opera "Aluminum Skin" in the city of Long Beach, California. Also in the USA, was an intern at Argento New Music Ensemble, in the city of New York, group dedicated to the interpretation of contemporary concert music. Silveira has given workshops/lectures in events, such as the international sympososium “UVM 2015 – Understading Visual Music”. Nowadays, Gustavo, in addition to devote his time to his musical projects, is a researcher in music and technology, a manufacturer of MIDI controllers, branded Bit Controllers.
